What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rebuild Shop Mechanic position at Foresight Energy?
- Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting/repairing underground coal mining equipment
- Perform full service on all equipment, diesel or electric
- Proper troubleshooting techniques on diesel and electric equipment
- Visually inspect and secure work area for hazards or potential hazards
- Ensure equipment, and tools are utilized in a safe and responsible manner
- Self-motivated and confident to work individually, but also the ability to work well with others as a team
- Determine the type and extent of repair work needed on various types of mining equipment
- Interpret blueprints, and schematics
- Perform work area housekeeping duties
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Other duties as necessary
- Experience with both diesel and electrical underground coal mining equipment
- 2 years experience, preferred
In-experienced Mechanics are processed through a contracting service starting at $20.00 per hour. You may contact Jennmar Services if you don't meet the minimum 2-years experience.
Compensation at an attractive hourly rate of $23.82
In addition, there's potential to earn bonus based on safety, production metrics, and attendance.
