General Responsibilities:
- Lead the construction of new healthcare facilities and large commercial developments, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Oversee a cross-functional team of subcontractors, engineers, and on-site staff.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with clients, architects, and regulatory agencies.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules that account for milestones, deliverables, and critical path, regularly updating leadership.
- Optimize manpower allocation through careful projections and real-time analysis, adapting resources as needed to keep projects on track.
- Champion safety on the jobsite, driving a strong safety culture and ensuring all safety plans are effectively implemented.
- Oversee cost management, including job profitability, forecasting, and reporting to ensure financial success.
- Manage and mentor the project team, including Project Engineers and Superintendents, to drive efficiency and collaboration.
- Collaborate with design teams and subcontractors to address field conditions promptly and keep the project on course.
- Interface with clients to build strong, positive relationships, maintaining clear and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) are preferred
- 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years managing healthcare or large commercial projects
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects valued at $25M or higher
- Experience with design-build and integrated project delivery methods
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling tools, budget control processes, and contract management
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and a commitment to enforcing a safety-first culture
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients, design teams, and subcontractors
