JOB SUMMARY
Foresite Group is on the lookout for an exceptional Structural Project Manager to join our Structural Practice Area, a role designed for those who are not only passionate about engineering but also thrive in a collaborative environment. This unique position offers the chance to work closely under the guidance of our Practice Area Leader, contributing to projects that not only challenge but also advance your expertise. We are searching for candidates who embody a solid work ethic, with a strong background in structural engineering and project management and a proven track record of successfully leading complex engineering projects from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
- Lead and oversee all phases of structural engineering projects, including planning, design, execution, and close-out.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
- Perform structural analysis and design for various structures, including buildings, pedestrian bridges, and other infrastructure projects.
- Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Team Management
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and project staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets project milestones and deliverables.
- Evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.
Quality Assurance
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify construction compliance with design specifications.
- Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Business Development
- Support business development activities by preparing proposals, presentations and cost estimates for potential projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering
Experience: Minimum 5 years of engineering experience within the structural engineering and civil design industry with a proven track record of leading and managing complex projects
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Skills:
- Proven experience managing complex engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software including in Autodesk applications, preferably Revit.
- Excellent understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Works well within a team environment.
