What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatics Specialist position at Forest County Potawatomi Community?
- Assists Aquatics Manager with the training, supervising, and evaluating of Aquatics personnel.
- Directly supervises all aspects of the Aquatics Department and communicates with Aquatics Manager.
- Teaches aquatic programs including but not limited to swim skills, water aerobics, and lifesaving classes.
- Responds to emergency situations, following established emergency protocols.
- Conducts monthly in-service with Aquatics team.
- Maintains accurate records concerning patrons and personnel, and reports concerns to Aquatics Manager.
- Provides open communication with guests, participants and their families, and aquatics team.
- Assumes full management responsibilities of the aquatic’s facility in the absence of the Aquatics Manager and Assistant Manager.
Experience
Preferred- 1 - 2 years: Aquatic Instructor experience and/or Water Swim Instructor Certification
- 1 - 2 years: Aquatic or Lifeguard Experience
Education
Required- High School or better
