What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Promotions Coordinator position at Forest County Potawatomi Community?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with the development and implementation of multiple strategies, initiatives and activities for individuals, families, and population groups that promote health and educate on disease prevention within the FCP Community.
- Proposes, develops, executes, and maintains effective marketing campaigns for the Health Division.
- Develops and maintains informational documentation and websites that educate on services offered by the Health Division.
- Develops and promotes health education materials and information; delivers targeted, culturally appropriate information.
- Gathers, organizes, and maintains data for program monitoring, evaluation, and improvement.
- Assists in the development and coordination of community and agency partnerships, initiatives, programs, and events. Promotes the community’s understanding of, and advocacy for, policies and activities that will improve the communities’ health.
- Responsible to deliver all approved content to the community using various methods of social media including management of Health Division Facebook page.
Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred.
- Associate degree in communication or marketing preferred but will consider applicable work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in writing and developing marketing content
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with the community as well as individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work and handle multiple assignments to meet deadlines or requirements.
- Expertise in MS Office, including Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
- FCP complies with all CDC vaccine and testing recommendations for healthcare professionals. Proof of immunizations is required and immunizations/testing provided upon hire.
