Mowing Crew Leader

Role Overview/ Job Purpose: The Mowing Crew Leader is responsible for leading a team in providing top-quality lawn mowing and maintenance services for both residential and commercial properties. This roles ensures that work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards, while maintaining a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a crew of 2-4 members to perform lawn mowing and maintenance services efficiently and professionally.
• Operate and train team members on mowing equipment, including zero-turn mowers, push mowers, edgers, and trimmers
• Ensure all properties are mowed to company standards, paying attention to detail and customer specific preferences
• Monitor and manage the daily schedule to ensure timely completion of all assigned properties
• Communicate effectively with customer on-site to address questions and concerns
• Track and report crew hours, equipment usage, and any issues encountered during the day
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Promote a positive and safe work environment by modeling professionalism and adherence to company policies

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
• Familiarity with mowing equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of DOT compliance is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
