What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Lifeguard (Seasonal) position at Forest Lakes Mutual Water Company?
Qualifications: Must be at least 17 years of age and have the physical capabilities necessary to detect and rescue a struggling victim in the water and effectively deal with emergency situations. Applicants MUST HAVE and submit copies of the equivalent of a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR Training Certificate. Candidates must be professional, responsible, and reliable - preferably with at least 1-year of lifeguarding experience.
Job Description: Serve as a lifeguard at a small private lake; punctually open and close lake facilities; maintain close surveillance over swimming activities; enforce general water safety practices; perform rescues; perform first aid and resuscitation; notify supervisor of emergencies, disturbances or problems; and prepare routine records and reports.
