What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Project Manager position at FOREST LAWN MORTUARY?
Forest Lawn has a great opportunity for an Environmental Health and Safety Project Manager to join our Environmental Health and Safety department. This individual is responsible for managing our asbestos, lead, and mold abatement projects at all Forest Lawn locations. Secondary responsibility for other EHS compliance work as assigned.
What You'll Be Doing
- Will be Environmental Compliance Department point person for requests about asbestos & lead presence in building materials.
- Responsible for keeping the asbestos and lead sampling database current and up to date and creating the annual asbestos notices for the organization.
- Responsible for coordinating all sampling for asbestos, lead, and mold based on Facilities and/or A&E project needs, and, on occasion, collecting bulk samples.
- Schedule and participate in bid walks and pre-construction meetings for abatement projects.
- Attends the beginning of each project to ensure work done according to scope.
- Responsible for bidding, scheduling, and construction management for all FL abatement projects.
- Work closely with the industrial hygiene consultants and abatement contractors that we use in our projects.
- Conduct quarterly asbestos awareness training for new employees as needed.
- Prepare all abatement project files according to established criteria.
- Prepare annual asbestos project financial information for Finance Division auditors.
