Responsibilities of a Unit Manager:
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the nursing unit.
- Supervise and lead a team of nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive care to residents.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents' needs and update care plans accordingly.
- Implement and monitor infection control measures to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Participate in staff development and training programs.
Qualifications of a Unit Manager:
- Valid RN/LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in a long-term care setting.
