Reports To: Golf Course Maintenance Manager
Locations: Atwood Homestead, Ledges and Macktown Golf Courses
FLSA Status: Seasonal, Non-exempt (Hourly) (30-36 weeks)
Starting Wage: $16.50 an hour, commensurate with experience
Amenities include: Free golf, cart rental, shelter rental, and camping
PURPOSE. Performs routine manual labor tasks at the golf course as assigned. Work hours may
vary, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. A minimum of thirty-five hours per week
is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to, the following. Other
duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with

- Assist with basic facility and equipment repairs.
- Pick up, deliver, and trailer equipment, supplies, and aggregate as needed for golf course
- Ability to safely operate equipment that is used in the maintenance of golf courses, including trucks,
tractors, skid loaders, greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, bank mowers, out front rotary
mowers, bush hogs, tow behind rough mowers and boom mowers.
- Mow turf, trim trees, and maintain landscape areas with hand and power equipment.
- Washes maintenance equipment.
- Picks up trash and cleans sanitary facilities on the golf course.
- Cuts cups, changes tee markers, fills ball washers and performs bunker maintenance.
- Paints buildings and signs as directed.
- String trim trees, ponds, and waterways.
- Maintains a working knowledge of and ads to all risk management and safety programs and
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS. The requirements listed represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability.
Must be at least 18 years old.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work effectively and safely.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is
preferred. Must have general knowledge of golf course maintenance, with previous experience
preferred.
MACHINES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT. Must be able to operate mowers, tractors, utility vehicles,
pickup trucks, small dump trucks, and trailers, as well as typical associated maintenance tools such as
wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, sockets, floor and bottle jacks, drills, grinders, circular saws,
chainsaws and various other hand tools.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with

and/or safety of the individual or others would result. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger or handle, reach with hands and arms,
climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must
frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside
weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places;
fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals or plant materials; and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
