What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Forest Properties Manag?
Forest Properties Management, Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to carry out corrective, preventative, cosmetic, and emergency property maintenance at our property in Pawtucket, RI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform appliance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and heating/cooling system repairs as needed.
- Ensure all service requests are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Prepare vacant apartments for lease by performing necessary work, including cleaning when required.
- Report any building, ground, or system issues to the supervisor for further corrective action.
- Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, administrative staff, and vendors.
- Work a rotational on-call schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.
Requirements:
- One year of experience in carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical, or painting is mandatory.
- Some HVAC or appliance repair experience is preferred but not essential.
- Able to lift 75 Lbs. or more and engage in physical activities such as walking, crouching, bending, reaching small spaces, and standing for prolonged periods.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Must bring own tools and have reliable transportation.
- Eligibility to work in the USA and provide proof is required.
