Fringe Benefits:
Benefits in accordance with SEA (Support Education Association) Contract effective as of the first day of the 2022-2023 school term and shall be in full force and effect until the day preceding the first day of the 2023-2024 school term.
PROBATION: All new employees shall be hired on a probationary basis for one (1) calendar year. Beginning with the first day of employment, sick leave, personal/business days, and health benefits are effective. Dental and vision benefits are effective on the first day of the following month of employment.
SICK LEAVE DAYS per school year:
0-9 Years of Service = 12 Days
10-15 Years of Service = 13 days
16 Years of Service = 14 Days
ACCUMULATION OF SICK LEAVE DAYS: unlimited
PERSONAL BUSINESS LEAVE DAYS per school year: 2
NOTE: Unused Personal Business Leave Days will be added to accumulated Sick Leave Days. The number of personal leave days on a staff’s member record may not exceed three (3) days. One may carry over to the following year.
HEALTH INSURANCE: Any premium increases or decreases in health premiums shall be split 70 percent to the Board and 30 percent to the employee.
Employees who elect not to participate in the health insurance plan extended by the Board of Education will receive up to $1,250.00 per year.
DENTAL INSURANCE: Employees may elect to participate in the District's group dental insurance plan as it may exist from time to time. Any such participation shall be only as permitted by the District's insurance carrier and in accord with the carrier's requirements. The employee shall pay the full cost of the insurance premium rate.
VISION INSURANCE: The employee may elect to participate in the District’s group vision insurance plan as it may exist from time to time. Any such participation shall be only as permitted by the District’s insurance carrier and in accord with the carrier’s requirements. The employee shall pay the full cost of the insurance premium rate.
REIMBURSEMENT OF ACCUMULATED SICK LEAVE UPON RETIREMENT:
Upon retirement from the district, an employee who has served at least ten (10) years in the district and who is 55 years of age or older shall be given a sum of $30.00 per day for unused accumulated sick leave day not counted for retirement pension credit not to exceed a maximum of 100 days.
LIFE INSURANCE:
For full-time employees, the Board will provide a $20,000 term life insurance policy pursuant to the District life insurance program.
