What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Designer position at Forest River, Inc.?
Forest River, Inc., the Nation’s largest manufacturer of Recreational Vehicles, Cargo Trailers, Transit Buses and Boats has an immediate opening.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update part and assembly CAD data using Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, and 2D AutoCAD
- Develop and revise part and assembly drawings to identify critical characteristics.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to ensure parts are manufacturable.
- Process engineer change order utilizing Autodesk Vault.
- Verify that all designs and drawings are free of errors.
- Implement changes according to customer needs.
- Review customer prints and identify necessary changes.
- Determine if new parts are required to meet division expectations.
- Collaborate with vendors to manage part SKUs.
- Document and process all changes using Forest River Engineering change management processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma and/or an associate degree in engineering or a related discipline, plus two years of experience; or Four years of related experience and/or training specialized in drafting, design, and engineering practices; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
