The Director of Environmental Services is responsible for overseeing and managing all environmental services.. The Director manages the maintenance and housekeeping staff. He/She will implement best practices in cleaning and maintenance. The Director will make sure the facility is in full compliance with OSHA regulations.
Duties:
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for all residents and staff.
- Oversee daily operations of department, including scheduling, training, and performance.
- Be in-compliance with all health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards related to cleaning and sanitation practices.
- Do daily rounds of facility to assess maintenance issues, cleanliness and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels
- Work with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around patient care activities and special events.
- Respond promptly to any issues or concerns related to maintenance and housekeeping.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in environmental services management or a similar role within a hospital or commercial cleaning environment.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, OSHA regulations, and infection control procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and collaborate across departments.
- A commitment to providing a safe and clean environment for all facility occupants.
