What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children and Youth Caseworker 1 or 2 position at FOREST WARREN HUMAN SERVICES?
Forest Warren Human Services is looking for team members who are willing to assist us in making a difference in people’s lives. This is a career with impact. This position provides case management services to preserve and stabilize families, protect children at risk of child abuse/neglect and assure safe, permanent homes for children. This position offers a flexible work environment, robust training program and great benefits. In this role you will receive 120 hours of training before working directly one on one with families. Position provides general protective services to the C&Y program. Position carries a caseload in an effort to help attain a more satisfactory social, economic, mental & physical environment for children.
Qualifications:
Caseworker 1:
· A Bachelor’s Degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR
· Two years’ experience as a Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college-level coursework which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR
· Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions.

Caseworker 2:
· Six months as a Caseworker 1; OR
· Successful completion of the social casework intern program; OR
· A Bachelor’s Degree with a social welfare or social work major; OR
· A Bachelor’s Degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency; OR
Any equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice.
