Position Title: Laundromat Attendant
Reports to: Manager
Summary of Position: This position will be responsible for overseeing the laundry facility evening shift(s) throughout the week. and 4 or 5pm till close (approx. 9pm close time and we can be flexible with start time if you want to come earlier or need to start a little later). We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule, where shifts/days can vary week to week. Potential to add day shifts as well, if desired by the applicant.

A Laundry Attendant’s responsibilities include assisting customers, washing/drying/folding laundry as needed, ensuring all facility rules are followed, and making sure all the machines are cared for and maintained along with various miscellaneous tasks around the facility.
Ultimately, you will play a crucial role in the presentation of the establishment. Laundromats are a low-stress atmosphere with a rewarding sense of relationships that are built with customers

Qualities:
This is a largely unsupervised position so the ideal candidates must be self-motivated, excel at completing assigned tasks in a timely manner and should demonstrate exceptional communication skills.
This is a position best suited for those who define themselves as a self-motivated, with the ability to problem solve on the fly. Interpersonal skills are a must as this position in centric around interacting with routine customers.

Responsibilities

• Washing/Drying/Folding laundry
• Wiping down machines, cleaning / closing procedures
• Answering phone calls
• Ensuring all facility rules are followed
• Ensure that the facility remains clean at all times
• Anticipate and respond to customers’ queries, and concerns
• Operate register and kiosk

Requirements and skills

• Proven work experience in a similar role
• Organizational and time management skills
• Patient demeanor with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Flexible schedule (can start either 4 or 5 pm, at least 2-3 nights a week)
• Ability to lift 30-40 lbs
• Comfortable working alone during evenings

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a part-time position. Ideal candidates can work a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week - shifts are 4 or 5pm - close (approx. 9pm) and available to work weekdays or weekends. We can be flexible with start/end shift time and day/night shift availability as well. Pending performance, there will be future opportunities to extend hours and days, if desired, and/or take on additional shifts. Please DO NOT apply if you do not have a flexible schedule, as this is a supplementary income position.
