Forest Officer
- Four (4) seasons in wildland fire suppression OR bachelor’s degree in forestry or closely related natural resources field and one (1) year of wildland fire suppression.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license at the time of hire.
- Must obtain the Class B Warden certification within the trial service period.
- Some positions may require a valid class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Prior to hire, you will need to submit WCT Card or take and pass the physical fitness Work Capacity Testat the arduous level.
- We may consider applicants that do not have 4 seasons, if not able to fill at the qualified level.
General Duties:
- Perform forest fire suppression activities.
- Perform pre-suppression readiness activities.
- Perform fire prevention and education activities.
- Assist with grounds and facility maintenance.
- Occasionally perform forest tasks involving slash burning, pre-commercial thinning, road brushing, etc.
- Observe, receive, and obtain information from all relevant sources.
Skills we are looking for:
- Knowledge of forestry laws, rules, and regulations for the public.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Set goals, prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills.
