What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Aide position at Forever Families?
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is either full time or part time. This is a support role to the Foster Care Department. This position requires someone who is organized, dependable and flexible. Someone who works well alone or as part of a team. This person must be able to adjust to a fast-paced environment and be comfortable around children. They should have a good driving record, as they will be required to transport children or families to and from the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma.
2. A year or more of experience in this role at a Child Placing Agency is a plus, but not required.
3. Has working knowledge of Microsoft Programs and is proficient on a computer or laptop.
4. Must have reliable transportation with a valid registration and proof of insurance.
5. Must have a good driving record.
6. Must be able to pass the following: criminal background check and protective services lien clearance.
CASE AIDE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review Case Aide Request Forms and take appropriate action.
2. Create and Amend parenting time schedule as needed to accommodate requests.
3. Supervise all pre-approved parenting time visits.
4. Provide pre-approved transportation for clients.
5. Enter parenting time contacts into MISACWIS within 5 business days.
6. Complete other MISACWIS tasks as assigned.
7. File client documents once per week, or more frequently if needed.
8. Complete Foster Care file closures.
9. Administer oral client drug screens as needed.
10. Distribute and maintain supply of bus passes and gas cards. Track distribution.
11. Provide assistance for Foster Care Specialists as needed.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Assist with answering phones.
2. Assist with front desk coverage in the absence of Administrative Staff.
3. Agency Event Participation Requirement: four per calendar year. Employee may choose what event they will participate in that is an agency-sponsored event. Agency calendar, department meetings and other event postings will be available to choose from.
