WEEKEND Transportation Specialist/Driver (Sat/Sun 9:00 am - 7:00 pm)
Do you have a strong work ethic but a soft heart? Do you want to help ease the grief of those who have lost a beloved family pet? This position requires both pickup of deceased pets and returning cremation packages to families with our condolences as a representative of Forever Friends.
Pet owners and veterinarians alike appreciate our different approach to pet cremation and memorialization. We are looking for hard-working, compassionate individuals who support our core values of respect, transparency, accountability and service excellence.
This position handles the primary function of transferring pets from the place of death to Forever Friends and returning memorial packages from Forever Friends back to families at their homes. Other functions may include:
- Performing cremations per family wishes and company policy.
- Assisting in our quality control process to ensure 100% accuracy in our products and services.
- Engraving urns and other keepsakes.
- Performing other tasks as needed to ensure operations flow smoothly.
Detailed job functions:
- Transfers pets from the place of death to Forever Friends and returns memorial packages from Forever Friends to private residences, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Maintains appropriate chain of custody documentation, ensuring accurate identification and tracking of remains while in company care.
- Follows quality control process to ensure 100% accuracy in our products and services.
- Demonstrates exceptional care and respect for every pet in our care and family we serve.
- Completes all required documentation with respect to the cremation process and equipment maintenance.
- Ensures the work area is tidy, clean, and organized.
- Follows safety protocols and codes of conduct as set forth by the company.
- Meets all deadlines.
- Participates in staff meetings and offers suggestions to improve family satisfaction, product and service offerings and profitability of the company.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good driving record and valid current driver’s license
- Excellent communication skills

Work Environment
- Driving throughout Columbus metro area.
- Possible exposure to hot surfaces and working conditions
- Exposure to conditions associated with deceased pet remains
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to show respect and sensitivity toward client families
- Must operate equipment in a safe and careful manner
- Ability to lift 70 pounds unassisted
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to work at a steady pace, while maintaining quality
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Weekends only
