We are seeking a goal-oriented and adaptable Orthodontic Assistant to join our highly performing orthodontic team. Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workflow thereby supporting the management of a busy patient schedule.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
- Utilize orthodontic software for patient management, scheduling and record updates.
- Perform medical imaging, operate 3D X-rays (ICAT) and scanners (iTero) as needed for treatment planning.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, e.g. with braces/aligners, and provide clear post-treatment care instructions.
- Ensure strict adherence to sterilization protocols for instruments/equipment, safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications
- Proficient in chairside assisting and dental/orthodontic terminology
- Experience with X-Ray procedures and medical imaging
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly OrthoEdge
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of general dentistry and orthodontics
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
