Job Summary:

We are a fast-growing family-owned company, seeking a detail-oriented and reliable team member to fabricate and assemble storefront doors and frames, operate saws and milling equipment, and install glass and hardware. This role requires strong attention to detail, ability to follow work orders, and willingness to rotate between key production tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review work orders thoroughly, checking all material for defects/damage before cutting or assembly begins.
• Operate saw, cutting material to specified lengths, inspecting material before and after cutting, and ensuring the saw is cleaned daily and maintain an organized cutting area.
• Prep mill materials for building storefront doors and frames, measuring materials before and after milling. Ensure the milling area is clean and organized.
• Fabricate and assemble storefront doors, checking measurements and handling door installations, using power tools, drills, and punch presses.
• Install locking mechanisms and precisely follow work orders.
• Assemble frames, following work orders. Ensure precise measurements using tools such as drills, saws, and grinders. Wrap and box frames for shipment.
• Glazing and glass installation: Install glass into doors using correct glass stops. Lift and handle glass, working safely with team members. Wrap doors for shipment and ensure the correct installation of all hardware.
• Material Handling: Transfer materials efficiently using a forklift and use a computer to track materials.
• Report quality issues to department lead as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace ensuring the work area is clean and organized, following 5S practices.

• Willingness to learn multiple duties is essential, as Material Handler, Saw Operator, and Milling Operator roles rotate weekly

Education and Experience:

High School or Equivalent (Preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand the entire shift
• Ability to lift 50lbs

Compensation Target:

Starting at $18.00/hr.
