Job Summary:
Production Associates pay careful attention on the job, follow instructions precisely, work safely, and double-check his or her work before completing a task, all while maintaining speed and accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces of wood doors for staining by sanding, cleaning, and applying pre-stain conditioner as necessary.
- Apply stains and finishes evenly and consistently to achieve desired color and appearance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning and maintaining staining equipment.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure finished products meet quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent Attendance
- Strong oral and written communications.
- Previous experience staining wood doors or similar wood finishing experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy doors as needed.
- Knowledge of different types of stains, finishes, and wood types is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- High School or Equivalent (Preferred)
- Wood Working: 1 year (Required)
- Hand Tools: 1 year (Required)
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand the entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
