We have an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing international company specializing in renewable energy. We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Director to lead market entry and sales operations in the US. This role involves building and managing a high-performing sales team, developing strategic market plans, and driving business growth.
This is a hybrid position with travel requirements within the Southeast.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and market entry strategy.
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team, including field sales professionals and project management staff.
- Highlight the product's unique selling points, emphasizing performance, flexibility, and engineering excellence.
Project Coordination & Customization
- Tailor solutions for each customer by coordinating efforts between sales, technical teams, and project managers.
- Oversee project management to ensure smooth execution from inquiry to implementation.
Technical & Strategic Expertise
- Provide technical guidance to customers.
- Stay informed on U.S. market incentives and regulations related to renewable energy, integrating this knowledge into sales strategies.
- Develop and structure the sales department to enhance collaboration between technical and commercial teams.
Market Development
- Identify growth opportunities in renewable energy ecosystems and other industrial applications.
- Establish partnerships with contractors, utilities, and policymakers to support product adoption.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and achieve strategic market penetration goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years in B2B sales, focusing on technical or industrial solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Proven track record in renewable energy or energy storage sectors is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing teams, including sales and project management functions.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to design and implement scalable sales processes and organizational structures.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the U.S.
