Transportation Manager

We are partnering with a leading company to find a strategic and results-driven Transportation Manager. This role will develop and implement transportation strategies, policies, and programs that support service excellence and financial goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong logistics and transportation management experience, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid position in Greenville, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select and negotiate with transportation providers, ensuring competitive rates and service expectations.
• Oversee transportation contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and maintain routing guides for each shipping location to optimize cost and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including buyers, product managers, and customer service, to implement cost-effective transportation strategies.
• Analyze transportation data to ensure compliance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend process improvements.
• Lead RFQ initiatives, from data preparation to provider selection and execution.
• Monitor shipment execution, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to corporate guidelines.
• Work with shipping and receiving teams to enforce proper claims processes and procedures.
• Track outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments aligned with contract terms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of transportation management experience.
• Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS), preferably SAP Public Cloud.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and data analysis.
• Negotiation, process improvement, and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to build consensus and drive strategic objectives across teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically (10% or less).
