Parts Specialist

Job Summary
Forge Truck Centers is one of the nation’s top specialized truck dealerships. Dealing in a premier line up of heavy-duty trucks throughout the country we are rapidly expanding and looking to add a Parts Specialist. In order to qualify for this position, you must be proficient in the following; Order picking activities-Pick parts orders and stock new inventory that comes in for the Parts Department. Load and unload deliveries, operate forklift. Responsible for Shipping/Receiving parts. Responsible for keeping track of inventory storage.

Duties

• - Oversee all aspects of the parts department, including inventory control, ordering, stocking, and distribution.
• - Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of parts.
• - Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and maintain strong relationships.
• - Utilize systems to track inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and optimize parts storage. (CDK)
• - Implement best practices for demand planning to anticipate parts needs and prevent shortages.
• - Collaborate with the service department to fulfill part orders promptly and accurately.
• - Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and safety standards related to parts management.

Experience

• Proven experience in or related field within an automotive or similar industry.
• - Strong knowledge of principles and practices.
• - Proficiency in utilizing inventory management systems for efficient tracking and reporting. (CDK)
• - Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers effectively.
• - Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems efficiently, and work well under pressure.
• - Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy in inventory control.
• - High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in supply chain or related field is a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
