What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at Forgrand?
The ideal candidate will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers in order to aid customers in their success using our product. We are seeking an Account Manager to take ownership on NPI and sustaining OEM / JDM business. The sales role will collaborate with cross-functional team members based in the US and Asia to develop the latest solutions in consumer electronics.
Responsibilities
- Work cross functionally within the company to communicate with all stakeholders in customers' success
- Create and maintain relationships with customers to better understand and achieve their needs
- Make visits to our customers to identify opportunities for growth within our platform
- Manage all reporting about the health of customers' accounts
- Develop relationships with key customers and generate leads for new opportunities.
- Create sales strategies based on customer’s business strategy, market research and competitor analyses.
- Own RFQ / RFP response, NPI process, and the commercial relationship upon project award. Provide regular quotation updates and SOW completion.
- Work with Cross-functional teams within both Customer and Internal teams, including Sourcing, Engineering, Program Management, and other related teams.
- Based upon day-to-day engagement with customers, act as a proactive liaison with our factory personnel.
- Provide regular project status updates to management and drive timely completion of tasks.
- Negotiate liabilities with customers and retrieve POs when applicable.
- Manage product transitions to minimize excess and obsolete materials.
- Lead recovery plans and execution when supply falls short of demand.
