What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Fork & Knife Entertainment?
Description: You are the restaurants representation of the service and overall hospitality of the staff of the restaurant. Greet and assist all guest at the restaurant entrance, assists in seating and menu presentation. Coordinated with all managers and service staff essential details of patrons in dining room.
Requirements:
• Warmly and graciously greet all guest upon arrival
• When possible, open the front door for guest entering or leaving the restaurant
• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party
• Provide guest with estimated waiting time, always maintaining a professional, courteous attitude when confronted with hostile, impatient or irate guest
• Accommodate special seating request for guest whenever possible
• Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness
• Maintain supplies of mints and toothpicks at the host stand
• Clean menus of food and stains
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager on duty
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Relay guest comments or suggestions to the manager on duty
