Role Description
Form Energy is seeking a skilled R&D Technician to join our Electrochemical Performance Team in advancing the next generation of iron-air battery technology. In this role, you will collaborate with scientists and engineers to prepare materials, conduct in-lab experiments, and test performance in innovative prototypes and first-of-a-kind systems. Your responsibilities will include supporting R&D workflows, such as electrochemical cell preparation, high-throughput additive screening, and analytical measurements. What you'll do :
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to fabricate electrodes, assemble electrochemical cells, and execute standardized chemical screening tests
Maintain detailed records of observations and report findings and deviations to R&D scientists and engineers
Support R&D scientists and engineers by stocking, cleaning, and maintaining key consumables and equipment
Analyze samples and execute characterization measurements
Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective actions
What you'll bring :
2 years experience in a R&D or manufacturing environment
Familiarity with chemical hygiene, mechanical assembly, and safety best practices
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective verbal and digital communication skills, including proficiency with tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or laboratory information management systems applications
Adaptability to changing schedules and the ability to manage tasks independently
Comfortable with physical requirements, including lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods
