What are the responsibilities and job description for the Second Shift Press Brake Operator position at Forma-Fab Metals?
Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:30 pm to 2:00 am, Fridays are often used to catch up on work and may be mandatory to work. If so, a 48-hour notice will be given, but shorter notice may be given for volunteer work hours. The schedule varies on Friday.

Essential Functions:
- Analyze blueprints/drawings, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and forming operations
- Set up and adjust equipment
- Perform efficient forming of various metal objects, including heavy and light gauge carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless
- Report all non-conforming material to the Team Leader and/or Shop Foreman immediately
- Perform work with the help of various hand and power tools
- Input and maintain data in ERP computer system/Global
- Complete paperwork/job sheets required for the area
- Must maintain excellent attendance, and expect to work overtime if the need requires
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Assist in other areas as needed.
Requirements:
- Press Brake and blueprint experience
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Must be able to read calipers, protractors, tape measure, pressure gauge, level, and square
- Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Minimum 1 year of press brake experience
- Basic computer skills
- Leadership is a strong plus
- A basic fundamentals test will be administered as part of the application process
- Environmental Conditions:
- Humidity level may be elevated during the summer months
- Exposure to certain containments, at times
- Exposure to loud noise, at times
Physical Demands:
- The position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs, and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 40 lbs without physical restrictions
- Able to stand on your feet for at least ten hours a day
- This is a 40-hour-per-week job with the potential for overtime
