P osition Overview
The Quality Management System (QMS) Specialist supports Formerra’s Quality Program by completing administrative duties to ensure the QMS is up-to-date, internal and external quality assessments are appropriately completed, and documentation and other training resources are available. The QMS Specialist works cross-functionally to align procedures with current state operational processes and identify process improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conduct internal quality audits to ensure compliance to the ISO 9001 : 2015 standard and local procedures.
- Facilitate customer QMS audits of Formerra and its third-party logistics warehouse providers.
- Support ISO certification audits from preparation to completion.
- Ensure corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) are entered into the QMS software, ownership is appropriately assigned, and root cause analysis is completed.
- Complete customer surveys / questionnaires and other requests for information promptly and accurately.
- Create new and update existing procedures and work instructions for various functional areas.
- Support the annual Management Review process by obtaining data, capturing meeting minutes, and retaining records in the QMS software.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodology to drive continuous improvement efforts in all aspects of the role.
- Perform other work-related large scope projects as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
