Job Summary: Formica Freitag Bakery is a well-established wholesale industrial bakery that specializes in Artisan and Italian Breads which operates in Pleasantville, NJ.

Responsible for delivery of Formica Freitag Bakery breads to customers.

Delivery routes are assigned by Production Manager. Position also responsible for collection of checks from customers that pay by COD

Principal Responsibilities

• Delivery of bread to Formica customers per Production Managers direction

• Strategically load trucks to make deliveries to customers based upon assigned routes and customer invoices

• Drive safely to deliver orders

• Successfully deliver customer orders

• Collection of checks, responsible for all monies

• Security of vehicle; maintenance of vehicle; ensure vehicle has gas; security of EZ Pass

• Bagging and boxing of product as required to meet route times

• Assist with other positions as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Route assignment dependent deliveries begin as early as 1am.

• Must have availability to work Weekends and Holidays. 35 hours a week. Holidays are peak production times and therefore no time off is given during peak holidays.

• Must be able to work under pressure, multi-task and take direction

• Ability to lift product in boxes and bags throughout the day. Boxes on average can weigh up to 10-15 pounds

• Customer service skills – drivers interface with customers on a daily basis representing the company. Treat customers and coworkers with dignity and respect

• Written and verbal communications, strong understanding of English language

• Must have a valid motor vehicle drivers license and in good standing

• Ability to do simple arithmetic for customer orders. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

• Recognize and communicate problems as well as recommend solutions

• Ability to read and interpret company guidelines and safety rules

• Prior experience delivering products to customers preferred

• Miscellaneous pick up and deliveries

Communication skills.

• Job requires working with production team on ensuring that customer bread deliveries are made in a timely fashion. Any issues need to be communicated quickly to production managers to ensure timely resolution.

Additional Details:

• Rate of Pay - Starting Rate - $16.00/hour

• Pay periods - every 2 weeks

• Five paid holidays in 2024 for full-time employees. Part-time employees will receive 4 hours of holiday pay if the holiday falls on a day the employee is normally scheduled to work. The holidays are (New Year’s Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas).

• Employees are eligible after 60 days of active employment to enroll in a Health Insurance
