The position will be responsible for procurement & supply chain activities supporting the sample production group, purchasing and resale program and fully supporting the operations, procurement and supply chain group.

- Scheduling, forecasting, inventory management (including production planning, managing active & obsolete inventory levels)
- Vendor management (creating and managing purchase orders and releases)
- Leading full material & service sourcing initiatives
- Negotiate and manage supply agreements with suppliers
- Manage supplier issues and drive them to conclusion
- Develop, manage and support all supplier scorecard programs
- Claims program management for all customer, quality and field claims
- Order management (including order fulfillment)
- Strategic planning (HPL team).
- Develops audits and maintains bills of materials as well as processes reports and schedules to support efficient production planning.
- Liaison for samples outbound shipments to Customer Service, Planning, Purchasing, Plants, etc. This position will report directly to the Director of Procurement.
- Be a cross-functional backup for other Procurement & Supply Chain team members as necessary.
- Strong analytical and math skills.
- Experience in procurement and/or supply chain 2 years or degree in related field.
- Inventory Management experience preferred including managing and planning inventory levels against forecast and orders, meeting predetermined parameters on fill rate, minimizing obsolescence, etc.
- Experience in dealing with vendors including selection, managing performance and placing PO’s and releases.
- Detailed negotiation experience with both material and service agreements for comprehensive
- Supplier scorecard experience to include On Time/In Full delivery, supplier quality, supplier complaints, pricing programs (Monitoring market indexes)
- Experience with sourcing initiatives; Supplier RFI, RFQ & RFP to support both material & service needs.
- Spend analysis skills
- Strong communications skills.
- Strong MS Office Skills with an emphasis in Excel.
- Ability to combine data from various sources and extrapolate information as needed for internal customers.
- Experience understanding of ERP systems (ex. BPCS, MAPICS, SAP, etc.) is required with BPCS knowledge preferred.
- Required to work off-shifts as necessary.
- Will require trips to suppliers as needed.
