Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
To perform Predictive Maintenance functions within FPC- TX complex.
II. QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School graduate or equivalent
2. Valid Driver’s License
3. Currently holds an ASNT-TC-1A Level One (1) certification in Vibration Analysis.
4. Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training in a petrochemical/ industrial field which includes mechanical and electrical instrumentation experience.
5. Experience in VA-Vibration Analysis and rotating equipment preferred.
6. Ability to utilize personal protective equipment needed to perform the essential job functions.
7. Be able to obtain within 90 days of employment and hold a “TWIC” –Transportation Workers Identification Card for duration of employment.
III. TRAINING
Safety, policy and PDM training available after hire.
IV. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OUTSIDE: 50% of time spent. Less than 2% harness/fall protection usage.
1. Write and submit daily reports of PM work orders (scheduled routes) and non-PM work orders (unit requested work) pertaining to vibration analysis, oil analysis and other job related duties.
2. Perform vibration analysis on various machines throughout all units.
3. Communicate and work with all units and department engineers to ensure machinery health.
4. Collect oil samples on various machinery and ship to our designated oil lab.
5. Analyze spectrums, time waveforms and history trends for vibration analysis.
6. Demonstrate exceptional teamwork and customer service; behave professionally; treat with respect and dignity.
7. Work outside normal shift hours as needed.
8. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to, ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, regulatory and company requirements.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
11. Assist and learn Motion Amplification Camera procedures and functions.
12. Be active on the technician on-call rotation (call out schedule)
