Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team at Formrite, a division of G3 Industries. Successful candidates will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within our manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong technical background, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
Core hours for this role are Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am with overtime opportunities throughout the week and on Fridays. Starting pay is based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in the manufacturing facility.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in machinery, power distribution systems, and control panels.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems and components, identifying and resolving potential issues before they cause disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to perform preventive maintenance and improve the efficiency of electrical systems.
- Replace or repair faulty wiring, motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and transformers.
- Provide technical support for production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance schedules.
- Assist with new installations, upgrades, and modifications to the facility's electrical infrastructure as needed.
- Respond to emergency electrical repairs and service requests, ensuring minimal production interruptions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, electrical codes, and best practices.
Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, control systems, power distribution, and PLC systems.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment, machinery, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and electrical safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
