Laboratory Technician - Raw Materials

PRIMARY PURPOSE :

Perform raw material duties to ensure continuity of laboratory testing.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Testing of incoming raw material samples using primarily wet bench and physical techniques.
• Ensure testing is performed accurately and in compliance with GLP, GMP, USP, SOP, and other approved test methods.
• Accurately records raw data and analyzes, calculates, and interprets the results.
• Maintain reagents and chemicals in laboratory including but not limited to inventory, current SDS, PPE required for handling, waste generation, and disposal.
• Maintain laboratory glassware and plasticware, including handling, washing, and storage procedures.
• Maintain laboratory consumable supplies, such as refilling disposable pipets, beaker, gloves, etc.
• Promote GMP and safety throughout the facility.
• Promote continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in other activities as assigned by the Quality Supervisor and Manager.
• Potential exists for exposure to potentially harmful chemicals.

QUALIFICATIONS : Required

EDUCATION AND TRAINING :

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or appropriate life-science discipline
