Material Handler

Position Summary

The Raw Material Handler will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling, storage, and transportation of raw materials used in the production process. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess a strong commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials against purchase orders and specifications.

· Safely and efficiently transport raw materials to designated storage areas or production lines using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.

· Maintain accurate records of raw material inventory levels, including tracking usage, reordering supplies, and managing stock rotation.

· Ensure raw materials are stored in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

· Perform regular inventory audits and report discrepancies to the supervisor.

· Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely and efficient supply of raw materials to meet production schedules.

· Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material handling processes.

· Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

· Participate in training programs to stay current with industry standards and best practices.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Proven experience as a Raw Material Handler or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
• Food safety standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of cGMPs
• Ability to manage processes and procedures.
• Ability to manage team members effectively.
• Ability to work in an environment with inside/outside extreme temperatures and in noisy environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
