Pay range: $17.00-$18.00 an hour
Summary:
Work in a warehouse environment as an individual contributor within a tightly knit team environment. Perform manual operations to assist in order processing and storage of materials. Performs material transfers in a computer warehouse management system. Meet processing cycle times consistently with high level of accuracy through careful attention to detail. Positively contribute to the team through great attitude and strong team orientation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform manual activities to contribute to the processing of customer orders to service our internal and external customers. These duties include but are not limited to; inventory counting, order picking, packing, packaging, BOM and manifest.
- Assist in the orderly and accessible storage of items in warehouse bins or other areas as designated
- Needs to perform material transactions in a warehouse management system.
- Examine and inspect items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Clean and maintain warehouse environment and work areas in order to assure compliance with safety regulations.
- Work with established processes within a supervised environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Ability to operate RF/Scanning equipment and basic computer skills.
Requirements
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Attention to detail and ability to differentiate between products with minimal differences to ensure accurate order processing and replenishment.
- Ability to read and speak basic English to allow instructions and teaching of position requirements.
- Ability to use a pallet jack to move components in the warehouse.
- Ability to perform material movement transactions in Forney’s warehouse management software program.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse floor with material handling equipment.
- Frequent lifting of 50 pounds is necessary.
- The majority of the work shift will be spent standing and walking.
- Operation of material handling equipment (pallet jack and electric pallet jack) is probable.
- Overtime may be required to meet processing demands.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Warehouse experience a plus.
