What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) position at Forney ISD?
Supervise and lead all aspects of district-wide human resource functions. Oversee development and implementation of legally sound and effective human resource management programs, policies, and practices. Provide leadership for human resource activities to ensure high quality staffing and retention of district personnel. Responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of human resource programs to include professional and auxiliary staffing, wage and salary administration, leave administration, performance appraisal, employee relations, benefits and employee communication. Interpret, recommend and develop policies and administrative regulations in human resources for the district.
Education / Certification :
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, education, or equivalent.
- Certifications in human resources (e.g. pHCLE, SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP, PHR / SPHR, etc.) (preferred).
- Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) and / or Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) (preferred).
- Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) Training (preferred).
