What are the responsibilities and job description for the RRT - PRN Nights position at Forrest City?
Looking for an enthusiastic RT to join our team!
RT must hold an NBRC credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and be licensed through the state of Arkansas.
Here, our RT's will be responsible for the following:
- Collaborate with other team members of the medical team to define and execute best plan of care for a patient.
- Set up, manage, and maintain ventilator support for patients
- Set up, manage, and maintain Bipap support for patients
- Set up, manage, and maintain low flow and high flow systems
- Draw, analyze, and interpret blood gases
- Assist in intubations
- Administer aerosol treatments
- Suction patients, as needed
- Perform EKG's
- CPT therapy
- Walking Oxygen test
- Set up and educate patient on Incentive Spirometry
Additionally, for day shift, RT's will also:
- Administer Pulmonary Function Testing
- Administer Stress Testing
- Perform EKG's on walk-in pts
- Perform walk - in ABG's
- Set up and apply Holter Monitors
- Administer sputum inductions
Each RT will report to the Cardiopulmonary Director. All RT's should utilize their professional judgement and rely on their experience to execute the best level of care. Each therapist will be expected to maintain their certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
