Job Summary
Collects and handles clinical specimens. Performs laboratory tests, operates laboratory equipment, and reports results under the supervision of a medical technologist. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also shows knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed.

Education/Skills
An associate degree in medical laboratory technology or equivalent is required.

- Demonstrate the ability to perform laboratory tests with precision and accuracy promptly.
- Demonstrate the ability to follow laboratory guidelines set forth by CLIA.

- MLT (ASCP), CLT (NCA), and are eligible for the same or equivalent credentials.
