What are the responsibilities and job description for the PI PATIENT SAFETY CD position at Forrest Health?
Job Summary:
Coordinates performance measurement and improvement activities among all departments, including patient safety. Reviews and analyzes clinical information about key aspects of patient care and collaborates with directors, managers, and physicians to improve patient care, safety, and service. Develops plans to improve patient safety utilizing current industry best practices. Improve clinical outcomes and patient care related to patient safety, emphasizing evaluation and improvement of medication administration processes. Develops and implements accreditation and licensure compliance strategies. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Performs other duties as assigned by the QM Director.

- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of current regulatory standards and requirements.
- Demonstrates ability to analyze PI data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrates ability to conduct rounds to monitor compliance and provide feedback to managers.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with managers and staff.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Bachelor degree in nursing preferred. Graduate of a recognized non-online RN program required.
Work Experience:
Requires at least two years experience and proven performance as a healthcare professional. Prior experience in quality assurance and utilization management preferred. Must have knowledge of accreditation standards and current concepts of performance improvement. Management skills and organizational ability are required. A working knowledge of data processing systems and data analysis is required.
Certification/Licensure- DUE UPON HIRE
- Current License with the MS State Board of Nursing
