Delivery Driver/Warehouse

Job Overview
Seeking a motivated individual to receive deliveries, warehouse product and pickup and deliver to various project sites and vendors each day for a mechanical contracting and service company. Use of hand trucks and forklifts will be used to load and unload delivery trucks ranging from pickups to semi-trailer trucks. Coordination with the warehouse manager for proper storage and safe delivery of items is essential. Occasional inventory summary is required among other duties.

This position requires being able to lift over 80 pounds at times and move heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles
• Use forklifts, hand trucks and pallet jacks to move large items and load and unload vehicles
• Perform vehicle inspections
• Properly secure load on truck/trailer
• Inspect incoming delivery for damage and report immediately
• Process delivery paper work properly and timely
• Track incoming and outgoing inventory
• Load outgoing items and secure cargo for out-going deliveries
• Determine most efficient drive routes
• Deliver complete order as required
• Pick up from vendors and projects
• Fuel vehicles as needed before returning to warehouse

Experience

• Previous experience in a delivery or warehouse role is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with stock management, order fulfillment processes, and distribution center operations is a plus.
• Experience operating equipment such as reach trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, or cranes is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers professionally.

Wages and Benefits

• $18.00 – $20.00/ Hr.

• Full Time Position

• Usually 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday

• Occasional over time

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age

• Have and maintain valid driver’s license

• Experienced driver with good driving history, no DWI

• Drive and back-up a 20 Ft. trailer

• Drive a standard transmission vehicle

• Be upright in all dealings

• Self-motivated, diligent and proactive

• Dependable

• Organized and able to multitask

• Good and courteous communication skills

• Write legibly

• Be flexible periodically to meet work requirements

• Ability to walk on roofs and un-even surfaces with loads

• Ability to perform medium to heavy lifting repeatedly.

• Comply with company drug program

• High school or equivalent education preferred

Bonus

• CDL Driver license (Not required)
