Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Auto Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage and providing accurate estimates for repairs. You will work closely with customers, mechanics, and insurance companies to ensure that all aspects of the repair process are communicated effectively. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics and service management will be essential in delivering high-quality service and fostering customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Evaluate vehicle damage and determine the necessary repairs using industry-standard estimating software.
- Prepare detailed estimates that include parts, labor, and additional services required for vehicle restoration.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding the repair process, timelines, and costs involved.
- Collaborate with mechanics to ensure accurate assessments of vehicle conditions, including air brake systems, shocks, struts, and alignment issues.
- Upsell additional services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions within the auto service management system.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive diagnostics to provide informed recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Estimator. Preferred it be with CCC.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and components, including air brake systems and suspension systems.
- Proficiency in using estimating software for accurate calculations and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately.
- Sales experience is a plus, particularly in upselling services related to vehicle repairs.
- A valid driver's license is required; familiarity with various vehicle types is preferred.
