What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatic Center Maintenance Technician (Seasonal) position at Forsyth County (NC)?
Great opportunity to work in an outdoor environment in western Forsyth County by performing a variety of tasks associated with park maintenance operations. Tanglewood Park is seeking a motivated individual that would be interested in working in a seasonal position at the Aquatic Center.
This is a seasonal summer position (May-September).
Schedule includes working weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Saturday - Wednesday: 6:00 am to 3:00 pm or
Thursday - Monday: 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
Weekend Work is RequiredMust have ability to:
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
Ability to follow written and oral instruction.
Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public.
Ability to independently adhere to a time schedule.
Ability to maintain order and ensure compliance with rules. Ability to operate and care for power equipment and hand tools. Ability to inspect and report needs for repairs.
Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds.
Graduation from high school or GED and one year experience in basic building or grounds maintenance work.
A valid driver's license is required.
Duties include maintenance of the Aquatic Facility by performing and assisting with cleaning and maintaining water quality by vacuuming, pressure washing deck areas, assisting with maintaining filtering equipment, repair of pool equipment, polishing pool tiles, loading and unloading materials and supplies, maintaining picnic shelters and cleaning restrooms.
Directly interacts with park patrons and provides information and instruction to guests that are utilizing park facilities.
Assists with requests to ensure that facilities meet acceptable standards and assists with seasonal opening procedures and seasonal closing procedures.
