What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cooperative Extension Program Coordinator - Urban Agriculture and STEM position at Forsyth County (NC)?
The Urban Agriculture and STEM Program Coordinator is a member of the staff of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center. This position will focus on assisting with major programs surrounding Urban Farming, such as Urban Farm School, Visit NC Farms and Pawpaw Field Day, as well as, teaching youth and adult STEM/STEAM workshops, 4-H science programs throughout the county and creating booths for community fairs that highlight agriculture and science. Interest in local foods, robotics, gardening techniques, art in science, knowledge of 4-H youth development, phone skills and teaching is a plus. The successful candidate should feel comfortable working with all people, ages 5 and older.

Valid drivers license required.- Recruits participants for program participation.
- Networks with community agencies.
- Prepares daily and monthly reports documenting work progression.
- Schedules weekly visits with individuals and groups.
- Selects lessons from a prepared curriculum for presentations.
- Completes written reports to document daily activities performed for each client.
- Performs related work as required.
- Provides informational training sessions for targeted clients.
