Forsyth County Management Information Services is seeking a highly motivated, dependable professional IT Assistant Team Lead with exceptional communication and technical skills to work with the Applied Technologies Team. The successful candidate will have considerable knowledge of how technology can be integrated into the public sector environment for a variety of applications and purposes. The Applied Technologies Assistant Team Leader position requires a blend of technical and managerial skills associated with the delivering technological solutions including various types of endpoints, infrastructure components, backend compute solutions, enterprise storage, enterprise data archival and retrieval, asset management, project management, and team management.
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice’s “Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy” and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check.

Detailed understanding of hardware, software, applications, and systems.
Ability to understand, prepare, and execute fiscal budgets and contracts.
Strong oral and written communications skills.

Strong organizational skills, proven ability to manage time and priorities, ability to complete complex projects and tasks with attention to detail.Graduation from a four-year college with a degree in computer science and four years experience as a systems analyst.
A valid driver's license is required.Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in the day-to-day management of a team of highly skilled technologists with the goal of providing a stable, scalable, and flexible personal computing environment.
Implement and maintain advanced data-center technology in an effort to standardize infrastructure and provide cross-platform and multi-user solutions in a cost-effective manner.
Implement, maintain, and enhance critical communications infrastructure including voice communications systems, presence technologies, and alternate personal communications technologies.
Establish and maintain standard operating system builds and standard methodologies for technical delivery, implementation, and operational support systems.
Assist in management of teams of resources to design, integrate and implement advanced end-user computing environments.
Build employee knowledge and skills in specific areas of expertise.
Assist the IT Team Leader in establishing and maintaining the required 3rd party support and service contracts for hardware and software solutions.
Assist in preparation and presentation the required and requested technical reports to management.
Communicate overall goals and principles of organization and promote a friendly and progressive working environment.
