Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a person for a part-time position as a Maintenance Technician I for Belews Lake Park.
Candidate must be able to work independently. This position has regular public contact.
Work Schedule:
April - November: Sunday - Wednesday 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm 7 hours per day
December - March: Sunday - Wednesday 5 hours per day
This position is Permanent Part Time. Benefits for this position include vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, retirement, and 401k contribution.
A valid driver's license is required.
Must have demonstrated ability to safely operate small to medium motorized equipment.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for the minimum requirements.Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Cleaning restrooms and shelters
Mowing, mulching, weeding/spraying, blowing debris and leaves
Trash/litter pick-up
Working with the public
Performing various projects using a variety of equipment including tractors, mowers and various handheld power tools.
Maintaining a specific license such as a driver's license in good standing, without a lapse or loss of a privilege to drive in compliance with North Carolina law, and in compliance with applicable DOT standards for commercial motor vehicle drivers if required to perform the duties assigned to the position.
