What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Administrator (Park Guest Services Administrator) position at Forsyth County (NC)?
Forsyth County's Department of Parks and Recreation is looking for a motivated individual to fill an open Office Administrator position. As the Office Administrator, the primary responsibility will be to supervise the day-to-day operations within the Park Guest Services Division, which encompasses the Welcome Center, Gate House, RV Campground, and Manor House Operations. Key duties include the management of staffing requirements - scheduling, recruitment, training, and evaluation for 2 full-time and 13 part-time positions.
This position works under the supervision of the Parks and Recreation Assistant Director of Business Operations. The position offers a exciting combination of management, customer service and operational tasks. Work Schedule: Standard work hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, in order to ensure optimal service to our customers and park visitors, there may be occasions when work beyond these the regular hours will be required. This might include weekends and holidays, depending on operational demands and scheduling needs.A successful candidate should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
Ability to communicate with others tactfully and courteously.
Ability to maintain work standards of program activities and ability to analyze and correct errors.
Ability to summarize, compile and tabulate narrative and numerical material.
Ability to interpret and analyze applicable content objectives and make necessary decisions.
Thorough knowledge of office management techniques including the ability to organize work flow and coordinate activities.
Considerable knowledge of effective supervisory practices and ability to plan and supervise the work of others.Graduation from high school or GED and four years of progressively responsible clerical/administrative/office management experience.
A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.
Drivers license is required.Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limed to:
Management of staffing requirements - scheduling, recruitment, training, and evaluation.
Addressing public inquiries over the phone regarding the amenities and services at Tanglewood Park.
Managing campground reservations, customer relations, the online reservation system, and the website - including regular updates, reviews, and promotions.
Ensure compliance with the rules and operational procedures specific to both the Park overall and Park Guest Services Division
Provides annual budget feedback, overseeing budget expense adherence, and managing customer billing and collections.
Recruit three volunteer campground host couples for the full camping season and develop a core team of substitute hosts
Acts as the liaison with on-site contracted security services.
Manages the day-to-day communication and logistical aspects related to Tanglewood Park leases.
Performs related work as required

Salary : $49,733 - $57,193
