What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Leader, Senior Services position at Forsyth County?
The focus of the position is coordinating communications for the department, both electronic and hard copy. Provides programming submissions for the department newsletter, webpage, social media posts, calendars and other communications. Daily writing, editing and organization of information is involved. Maintains an online registration system of data and programs. Will oversee a part time graphic designer and work as a team to create publications.
Communicates with supervisor, employees, students, volunteers, other departments, clients, the public, community agencies, outside agencies, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.
Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, registration forms, calendars, or other documents.
Receives various forms, reports, correspondence, product instructions, policies, procedures, manuals, directories, reference materials, or other documentation; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate.
Participates in the compilation and preparation of reporting and documentation requirements for senior services and related programs.
Participates in or provides programs to senior services clients: works to provide clients with a relaxed atmosphere and a sense of security in surroundings and with volunteers; encourages clients to participate in activities.
Coordinates activities of an assigned program/service designed to assist senior services clients with various aspects of life: assists the Senior Services Coordinator with program planning; provides assistance and guidance to team members regarding policies and completion of assigned tasks. Ensures that all tasks and documentation requirements are completed.
Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data; verifies accuracy entered data and makes corrections; utilizes word processing or other computer programs.
PREFERRED: English or Communications degree
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
This classification is designated as a safety sensitive position which is subject to random drug and alcohol testing and any other drug testing methods as stated in policies adopted by Forsyth County concerning drug and alcohol.
Performs general/clerical tasks, which may include answering telephone calls, making copies, sending/receiving faxes, filing documentation, picking up or delivering mail, or conducting visitor tours of senior center.
Performs other related duties as required.
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) year previous experience providing programs and services to senior, with supplemental training in the area of assignment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain valid CPR/First Aid certification. Some positions require a valid Georgia driver’s license.
Salary : $46,010 - $59,808
