The Part-time Clinical Dentist will work with dental assisting or dental hygiene students and treat patients in our Dental Clinic.

- DDS, DMS or DD Degree. NOTE: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a United States Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
- N.C. DDS License.
- One year or more of experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Understand and be committed to the unique nature and role of the College.
One year or more of experience training students in a Dental Clinic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Physical Demands
- Assume responsibility for training/teaching/instructing Dental Assisting and/or Dental Hygiene students and treating patients in the Forsyth Tech Dental Clinic as designated by the Program Coordinator Dental Programs and approved by the Dean.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining annual OSHA and Bloodborne Pathogens training as well as annual educational methodology training as required by CODA.
- Make recommendations to the Clinical Coordinator regarding Clinical protocol and procedures.
- Make recommendations to Program Coordinator for supplies, equipment, and equipment repairs.
- Participate in the assessment/grading of student clinical performance.
- Provide constructive feedback and remediation to students to improve clinical performance.
- Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College.
- Attend specialized training activities that enhance job performance and foster diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Foster diversity, equity and inclusion with colleagues and students.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
